July 26th, 2011

Only just got the heads up about his article I am featured in and it’s good to see other are doing more to improve the level of creative digital activities in schools, good little article and you can read it all here.

I am hoping this will introduce some teachers to the possibility of running taster sessions on programming and game design not just in my local area but nationally.

July 26th, 2011

I was fortunate to be invited to the HESFES (Home Educators’ Summer Festival) to run two days of one on one Retro Game Making and programming sessions. It was great fun, the workshops ran 9am-5pm on Sunday and Monday and loads of people took part.

I had to leave early to carry on work on the iPhone games due out soon, but the festival carries on until Saturday the 30th of July. You can find out more from their website here.

Pixelh8 Retro Game Design Workshop @ The British Museum

July 3rd, 2011

I was fortunate to run not one, but two Retro Game Design Workshops at The British Museum in London yesterday. Using specially created software using processing. I was able to limit the designers to 16 colours and sprites of 64X64 to give it that authentic retro feel. The game designs were varied and wacky as always.
