Although I am largely known for taking video game systems apart as the chip tune musician Pixelh8, this will be a more critical review than a physical dissection of the games, so I will be swapping the screwdriver for the game pad on this new adventure. Admittedly it has been a while since I have really had the opportunity to sit down and enjoy playing, so this for me is exciting as this marks a return for me to what started it all, the game. So come along and join me and my four kids as we make our way through the good and the bad and reveal stories of how games form an important part of our everyday life.

“Alan Turing, a mathematician most famous for his work on breaking the German Enigma codes, was convicted of ‘gross indecency’ in 1952 and sentenced to chemical castration.”

This apology although coming a little late is still very very appreciated by those who support and admire Turing for his dedication to his work. You can read the full statement here.

Ada Lovelace was arguably the worlds first programmer, she theorised computers would be used for Mathematics/Science and Music before they were invented. Whislt working on “Obsolete?”  I found this quite inspirational, because at The National Museum of Computers in Bletchley Park we have Scientists and Mathematicians and I was the one fortunate enough to bring the music to the equation.

I mention this idea in both of my video interviews for BBC here and ZDNet.co.uk.

She was an amazing woman.
